Travelling Across Uzbekistan
Explore Uzbekistan's Culture and Stories

Welcome to "Discovering Uzbekistan"!
Assalomu Aleykum fellow travellers,
In this blog, I’ll invite you to explore Uzbekistan- a beautiful country with an endless amount of history and culture. Cities that were a part of the Silk Road boast an astonishing blend of heritage, fascinating legends and stunning architecture. Samarkand and Bukhara are fine examples of these elements.
But there’s so much more: mountains like the spectacular Nurata mountain, mouthwatering dishes, traditions and most notably - hospitable people.
I’m Nazira and inviting you to experience complete cultural immersion in my country. I will highlight the true essense that Uzbekistan is known for, from the intricate patterns of Suzani, to the bustling local bazaars, moving onto the national cuisine and our famous dish - Plov.
You definitely shouldn’t miss any of that! We will also explore famous places such as Registan Square, ancient Khiva mosques, Timurids and Lazgi dancing. To me, this blog is more than a collection of posts, this is a chance to show how these countries were developed over the course of 2-3 centuries. Uzbekistan has a strong vision for the future whilst valuing the past and I believe you will come to understand its true values. So sit tight as I unfold tales, pictures, videos and more treasures that guides have shared with me.
Throughout this blog, we will discover the beauty of Uzbekistan’s culture and showcase projects, like "SharifArt" Studio. This incredible space, founded by artist Sharifa, brings creativity and purpose together, supporting young artists and children with cancer.
Uzbekistan is a vibrant fusion of art, tradition, and history. I’m here to take you on a journey through its most lively festivals, mouthwatering dishes, and breathtaking landmarks.
Let’s explore everything that makes Uzbekistan so unique together! 🌍✨
